Fire risk assessments
FRMA has a vast amount of experience delivering fire risk assessments (FRAs) across a variety of sectors, including healthcare, education, government, residential and commercial premises and construction sites.
FRMA is third-party accredited by National Security Inspectorate (NSI)'s Life Fire Safety Silver Approval Scheme to comply with the scope of the BAFE SP205 Scheme, to carry out both simple and complex FRAs in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
FRMA's fire risk assessors hold the BRE Academy Level 4 Professional Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment, which includes the thirty-one core competencies identified by Working Group Number Four, identified in the 2018 Hackitt Review, Building a Safer Future.

Passive fire protection inspections
FRMA typically undertakes two main types of inspection services: passive fire protection (PFP) compliance surveys during construction and compartmentation inspections of occupied buildings. These inspection services determine whether the installation of PFP is in accordance with relevant legislation, fire test evidence and the building's fire strategy, to ensure the specified level of fire resistance is achieved.
All of FRMA’s PFP inspection services provide the customer with a comprehensive survey report. These provide photographic evidence of any observations, their locations within the building and the suggested remedial actions or additional information required from third parties.
FRMA is third-party accredited by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1197 to inspect fire doors and our fire safety technicians hold the UK’s highest qualification in passive fire protection; the Level 3 Diploma in Passive Fire Protection jointly delivered by the Institution of Fire Engineers and Association for Specialist Fire Protection.

Fire Safety Training
Fire safety training is a core value of FRMA. We believe training is key to driving change across sectors. To achieve this, we have developed several training courses with a particular emphasis on passive fire protection and the relationship between installation details and fire test evidence.
Our training courses have been accredited by the Institution of Fire Engineers and provide between 1-7 hours of continued professional development. A certificate of attendance and a student resource pack is provided to each student upon attendance. Courses are delivered by our qualified fire instructors, who have over 15 years experience delivering training, and can be delivered in-house at our training facility or onsite, depending on client requirements.
